The DVM4 can play back two types of files: 1) MPEG2 audio/video files 2) Image files The only type of image files the DVM4 can play is bitmaps. For a valid bitmap file, the attributes must: 1) Be 256 color or less ( also known as 8-bit color or bit depth = 8 ) 2) Be a bitmap designated as device independent (DIB) 3) Maintain a resolution of W x H where Width and Height do not have to be the same, but both must be evenly divisible by 8.
