- Make sure that Jumper W4 directly behind the buttons on the Controller Card is set to SMPTE. The Controller Card is located behind the left front panel on the 16 slot Binloop or behind the right front panel on the older 12 slot Binloop.
- Connect your SMPTE cable to the Binloop SMPTE input. The Binloop SMPTE input is a 9pin female connector. Pin 1 is SMPTE IN+, Pin2 is SMPTE IN-, and Pin 5 is Ground.
- Connect a straight-through serial cable from your PC to the Programmer port on the Binloop
- On your PC, run the Binloop Configuration program
- Select from the menu "Binloop" -> "SMPTE" -> "Configuration"
- Select "Read External SMPTE" then click OK
- Select from the menu "Binloop" -> "Download to Binloop"
Your Binloop is now configured to read from SMPTE. Press the start button. If the Binloop LCD display says "Awaiting SMPTE" and the buttons no longer respond, then it is likely that Jumper W4 was not set to SMPTE. If the problem persists, please contact support.
