The Warehouse Technician’s primary responsibility is to support both warehouse operations and light technical production and QC tasks within our electronics manufacturing environment. This role combines inventory and shipping responsibilities with product preparation, assembly, testing, and basic diagnostics to help ensure products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

 

The ideal candidate enjoys a mix of technical and operational work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and takes pride in staying organized and producing quality results. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating closely with production, engineering, and sales teams.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, electronics manufacturing, technical production, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with electronics assembly, testing, or repair, including basic technical troubleshooting or diagnostic experience
  • Comfortable working with electronic products and components
  • Experience with shipping platforms such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar systems
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and warehouse processes
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with soldering
  • International shipping experience
  • Forklift experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders with a high level of accuracy and care
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and similar carriers
  • Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and required shipping documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform periodic cycle counts and adjustments
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and operating efficiently
  • Perform light product assembly, system preparation, and firmware loading as needed
  • Conduct basic product testing and diagnostics following documented procedures
  • Verify product configurations prior to shipment
  • Identify and report quality issues or inconsistencies
  • Support engineering and production teams with troubleshooting and product preparation tasks
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support customer delivery schedules

 

 

Working Environment

This is a full-time, in-office position in our air-conditioned Orlando facility. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, safely lift and move items up to 50 lbs, and work comfortably in a warehouse environment including the use of ladders. This position has no direct reports. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (your choice).

Software Engineer II

The Software Engineer’s primary responsibility is to design, develop and deliver robust software applications and accompanying firmware.  This position will work with the team to plan and support successful software releases in conjunction with the Alcorn McBride product roadmap.

 

You will be required to interface directly with customers regarding feedback on the software design. A portion of time will also be spent supporting customers using hardware products and software, either over the phone or in person.  You should have a positive attitude, a desire to achieve team goals, and enthusiasm for our brand.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
  • 6+ years of experience developing GUI applications written in Qt or similar frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of C/C++
  • Able to make software architecture decisions for a maintainable and high-quality code base
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment

 

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills (manuals, knowledge base articles, etc.)
  • An eye for aesthetics and a solid foundation in UX design
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Embedded Linux
  • Experience with build automation tools
  • Strongly held opinion on tabs vs. spaces
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • A sense of humor

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust software applications and accompanying firmware
  • Support successful software releases
  • Maintain high software quality by re-enforcing industry-proven development practices and balancing complexity and features
  • Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis
  • Provide technical support to customers

 

 

Working Environment

This is primarily an in-office position requiring heavy computer use. Occasional travel may be required to work with clients on job-sites, provide technical support, and fine-tune software design. Normal business hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm.
